Pepper spray VESK - RSG Police - Gel jet - 63 ml - Professional pepper spray 13.2% OC Place of use: Closed rooms and in vehicles. Because the irritant is packed in the gel and not in the air. Other people in the room are not disturbed.

Despite its size, this high-dose and strong pepper spray can still be carried discreetly in a jacket or trouser pocket. The patented KKS spray cap is unique and was developed in such a way that it is secured by a spring cap, thus preventing the spray head from being accidentally triggered. The spray cap also has a nose that points forward, which prevents your index finger from slipping over the nozzle and also prevents your fingers from being completely contaminated by any dripping from the nozzle.

Animals or people hit in the face (nose/eyes) by the VESK RSG POLICE pepper spray are immediately incapacitated for approx. 30-40 minutes. The irritant does not cause any permanent damage. The eyes of those affected should be rinsed with lukewarm water. The VESK RSG Police broad-jet pepper spray has a range of up to 3m and an excellent continuous spray performance of approx. 6 seconds. The jet of the OC irritant solution is sprayed in mist form. Moving targets are much easier to hit at short distances in this mist form than with a single jet.

Are you looking for information and products to protect yourself? In our pepper spray shop you will find a wide range of approved and extremely effective aids. Pepper spray is a frequently used, non-lethal self-defense tool that you can use to ward off threats. It temporarily hinders attackers' ability to act and gives you important moments to escape. Our protective items in the pepper spray shop

You can defend yourself effectively with high-quality pepper sprays. With the extra strong broad-jet burst, you can effectively incapacitate attackers for 15 to 20 minutes. In addition to pepper spray, our pepper spray shop also offers a range of alarm devices and other protective items with which you can defend yourself against impending attacks, break-ins and theft.

Composition: What is pepper spray?

The main active ingredients in legal pepper sprays are called OC (oleoresin capsicum), capsaicin or PAVA. OC and capsaicin are extracted from chili peppers or cayenne pepper, while PAVA is a synthetic substance. All three irritate the mucous membranes and eyes. Pepper sprays cause severe burning, shortness of breath and watery eyes.

Important instructions

  • Never leave your pepper spray unattended in public, not even in your handbag!
  • Always keep your pepper spray out of the reach of children (recommendation: higher than 1.60 meters in locked cupboards)! It is a dangerous chemical product.
  • In case of an accident, rinse the affected area with plenty of water. Get some fresh air if you have difficulty breathing. Call Tox Info Suisse (tel. 145) for further advice.

Buy pepper spray legally

In Switzerland , you can legally buy pepper sprays that contain a pepper extract (OC, capsaicin or PAVA) for self-defense without a gun license if you are of legal age. However, this only applies if the sprays can be recognized as pepper spray. Sprays in the form of pens, lighters, lipsticks or other objects are prohibited.
In Germany , pepper spray is legal if it is labelled as “animal repellent spray”. As in Switzerland, it may only be used in self-defence situations against people.

In Austria, pepper sprays are considered weapons under the Weapons Act. However, people over the age of 18 are allowed to own them. They may also only use them in self-defense situations.

In many other countries in Europe, pepper spray is banned – including Norway, Great Britain and Denmark – or is only permitted under certain conditions. Therefore, make sure you find out about the relevant country's regulations before crossing a border.

Finding the right pepper spray

Not all pepper sprays are the same. In our pepper spray shop we offer variants in different shapes, sizes, with different ranges, different triggers and different consistencies. The BodyGuard pepper spray, for example, is compact and unobtrusive to carry. Its jet is effective over a distance of up to four meters. It contains up to five jets. In addition to pepper sprays, there are also pepper gels , for example from VESK. These produce a precise jet with a long range. They can also be used in enclosed spaces and in headwinds.

The Guardian Angel pepper spray, on the other hand, has a special shape. A fixing clip allows it to be carried hidden on the belt. The spray caps also have differences. The RSG Police Gel from VESK, for example, has a spring cap that prevents accidental activation.

We recommend using products from reputable brands that meet local safety standards. User reviews and expert recommendations will help you choose between specific models.

Using pepper spray safely

Pepper spray can buy you valuable time in dangerous situations if you use it correctly. Before using it, find out exactly how to use it and use the spray responsibly to ensure your own safety. It is best to test the functions in a safe environment, for example in a course with our partner xCoach . Here you will also find a few important tips for use:

  1. Posture: Before using the pepper spray, make sure you are standing firmly on both feet. Hold the spray firmly in one hand with your thumb on the trigger so you can use it quickly and accurately.
  2. Distance: Make sure there is enough distance between you and the attacker.
  3. Aim: Aim the beam directly at your attacker – ideally at the eyes, nose and mouth. These areas are particularly sensitive.
  4. Escape: Pepper spray is designed to buy you time to escape danger. Do not try to overpower the attacker. Once you have sprayed, use the opportunity to quickly get to safety.
  5. Cleaning: Avoid touching your face after using pepper spray, as residue from the spray may stick to your hands. Wash your hands and face thoroughly with water if you come into contact with the spray.

Emergency measures in case of accidental contact with pepper spray

Despite all precautions, have you accidentally come into contact with pepper spray? These emergency measures will help: First of all, try to stay calm. Do not rub the affected areas. This will only make the irritation worse. Wash the affected areas of skin as quickly as possible and rinse the eyes with plenty of water. Avoid soaps or other cleaning products. These can make the effects even worse. If the irritation does not subside or if you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing or persistent pain, seek medical attention. It could be an allergic reaction.

In addition to running water, the neutralizer spray , which you can buy in our shop, also helps. Apply it directly to the affected areas of skin. It is only intended for external use. Do not spray it directly into the eyes.

What to do after using pepper spray?

As already mentioned, the use of pepper spray in Switzerland is only permitted for self-defense in situations where there is an immediate threat. Only use it proportionately to ward off acute danger. If you have used pepper spray, report the incident to the police, especially if people were injured. You must not use pepper spray in crowds or without a legitimate reason.

Storage and maintenance of pepper sprays

To maintain its effectiveness, you should always store your pepper spray in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight at 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. Extreme heat or cold changes the pressure in the can and thus impairs its functionality. It is also important that you regularly check the expiration date of the spray.

Expired sprays can lose their effectiveness. Also check the can regularly for external damage.

Please note: Pepper sprays are dangerous chemical products and must be kept out of the reach of children!

Alternatives to pepper spray in the pepper spray shop

In addition to pepper spray, there are various alternatives for self-defense, such as personal alarm devices or simple self-defense techniques. A personal alarm is an effective method of attracting attention and deterring potential attackers. It has the advantage that it does not hurt anyone and you can carry it anywhere legally. You can find various models in our pepper spray shop. The disadvantage of alarm devices : They do not incapacitate attackers.

Self-defense techniques also provide security. They have the advantage that you can defend yourself without any equipment, but they require regular training and can be difficult to use in dangerous situations.

When used correctly, pepper spray is a very effective means of self-defense. So choose your pepper spray carefully. In our pepper spray shop you will find products in different sizes, with different triggers and different consistencies. Practice using it in a safe environment, ideally under supervision. If you then know the emergency measures for accidents and store your spray correctly, you will have an effective tool to protect yourself in the event of an attack.
